American actress Alexandra Hetherington Breckenridge. Her career began with supporting roles in the teenage comedy films Big Fat Liar (2002) and She's the Man (2006). Then, she took on the role as reporter Willa McPherson on FX's series Dirt. She also played an appearance as a support character on FX's short-lived series The Ex List. She was a part of the young Moira O'Hara on the first season of FX's American Horror Story, and as Kaylee in the season's third. She was Jessie Anderson's character on the AMC series The Walking Dead. Sophie was the character she played in the NBC series This Is Us. She also voices several characters from the animated comedy series of Family Guy. Since 2019she has appeared in the role of Melinda "Mel" Monroe in the Netflix series Virgin River. Breckenridge was a resident of Darien, Connecticut, until 10 years old when she and her mother relocated to California. There, they were able to move around for a year before eventually settling in Mill Valley. Breckenridge was 13 when she began taking an interest in acting, photography and singing. When she was 15, she moved with her mother to Los Angeles to pursue her acting career.
